Building Real Wealth & Economic Justice

Equity Design is committed to building resilient communities with a focus on economic justice and real wealth. This work necessarily requires an examination of the ways institutional injustices are (re)produced and the roles we consciously and unconsciously play in this. By examining ourselves and the wider society we can transform the narratives that shape our individual and collective lives. As we realize how interconnected we are, the importance of partnering to build resilient systems becomes clearer. When we come up against systems and institutions of domination and oppresion we must work together to change the rules to benefit the majority.

To these ends Equity Design provides a range of educational and consulting services. Recent projects have included collaboration on two campaigns: Oregon Banks Local and Oregonians for a State Bank, research and advocacy for improving access to capital for small family farmers, and pioneering a number of local Resilience Circles.
